Friday Fantastic: Bloggers Rockers featuring Samantha Martin

Happy Friday!! Friday Fantastic is back, and this time around I will be hosting bloggers I've met through my blogging endevours, as well as, while interacting on the blosphere as an author. I feel so lucky to have met wonderful people who I chat about books with, or sometimes just sip virtual Margaritas and/or Jägermeister, get tipsy and babble stuff that make sense to us (but probably wouldn't, if any other person was listening in.)

My first Feature is Samantha Martin. I met Samantha a while back when she offered to help me out with A Need So Insatiable cover reveal and let me tell you, this Girl is AMAZING! So before I go deeper into fan-girling mode--and I have a tendency to do that, let me introduce you to Sam. :)

Welcome, Sam. I am so excited to have you here with us.  Could you please tell us a little about yourself?

My name is Samantha Martin. I live in North Carolina in right in the middle of Hanging Rock State Park. I am a Library Assistant for Walnut Cove Public Library, which is part of the Northwestern Regional Library System. We have thirteen member libraries that span four counties. I am thirty-one, married, and have three beautiful children (five if you count the dog and the cat J).I began blogging to help promote literay in Young Adults. This is how my young adult book review blog, Teen Blurb, was born. I have an adult book review site as well,  Faerie Tale Books. Blogging has opened my eyes to a whole new literary world. I have meet so many great readers and authors during my journey. I absolutely love it! Being able to show my support to Indie authors has been awesome. There are so many great authors out there with such wonderful stories that just need a chance.

This is essentially my backyard.

  My little wild chidren!

What a lovely family! Your kids are adorable. :)  And wild... wild is fantastic! :)

So, I like to read anything that catches my eye. Do you have any specific genres you enjoy reading more than others?
I am a romantic at heart so I love stories that have some kind of romance in it. Genrewise I read about anything. I love Young Adult, New Adult, Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy, and Erotica. Book Covers are what usually draw me to a book first. I also go by reviews and recommendations. My favorite authors include Jennifer L. Armentrout, Abbi Glines, Julie Kenner, Sylvia Day, Georgia Cates, and of course you CeCe!

Before I settle down to read a book, I usually make sure that the sofa – I do have a specific one in the living room. And the kids know it..LOL – I arrange the pillows in a certain way that my body just sinks in for the long ride, then grab a bottle of pepsi or my favourite, raspberry juice.

LOL.. I have a specific sofa too. So when I find the Kids sitting on it, I let out this growl that has them scampering away.. :D Do you have any rituals  you do before snuggling in with a book?
I usually prop myself up in my bed to read. I live in a rather small house (which we are hoping to expand). We only have two bedrooms and there are five of us squeezed in there. Yikes! Lol. Other than that there isn’t anything special that iIdo. I do make sure my Hello Kitty mini fridge (which is bedside my bed) is stokced full of Pepsi Ones and I have some Trix cereal nearby (I am woefully addicted to it)!

Oh gosh, thank you, Sam.I'm really humbled, and honoured, and very very glad you enjoy reading my books. :)
My book shelves look like the eighth wonder of the world – leaning to the side and sagging dangerously. How does your bookshelf look like? Would you like to share a photo?
I am right there with you CeCe. I probably have over 2000 books on my bookshelves. I love to be surrounded by books. I love their smell and how it feels to have one in my hands.

That is my youngest, Kaylee. She always wants to be in pictures. Such a Ham J The book cases are floor to ceiling, and most of the shelves arelayered with two rows of books.

Kaylee is so pretty! She reminds me of my daughter. She loves to be in pictures..like every time someone has a camera on their hand, she is there.
Although I fill my kindle with ebooks, I am a collector of paperbacks, and hard back copies. I can’t resist the smell of freshly printed paper (too yummy) Ebooks or Print?
I am the same way. I have over 3000 books on my Kindle, but I love Print books the best. I love the smell as welll! There is nothing like holding a book in my hands and getting lost in whatever world for the moment!

LOL.. yeah I remember us laughing about having so many books on Kindle, but unable to resist one-clicking. Do you have a specific genre you like to Review?
I love to review the same genres that I read, but I will give anybook a chance!

Thank you so much, Samantha! <3
If you have time, please drop by to say hi to this lovely lady. She's fantastic and so much fun to hang around with.
Have a lovely Weekend!

Swoon Thursday (2)

I'm back again this Thursday with another Swoon-steal-my-breath excerpt of the book I'm currently reading. SWOON Thursday is hosted by YA Bound.

If you would like to take part in this hot & fun meme, here are the rules:

From the book you’re currently reading, or one you just finished, tell us what made you SWOON. What got your heart pounding, your skin tingling, and your stomach fluttering.

Shout it out on Twitter with the hashtag #YABound, post it here in the comments, or grab the steamy button above and share it on your blog. We want to know!

My first swoon: BET ME by Jennifer Cruise

Her face was blissful, her mouth soft and pouted, her full lower lip glazed with icing, and as she teased the last of the chocolate from her lip, Cal heard a rushing in his ear. The rush became a whisper--THIS one--and he breathed deeper, and before she could open her eyes, he leaned in and kissed her, tasting the chocolate and the heat of her mouth, and she froze for a Moment and then kissed him back, sweet and insistent, blanking out all coherent thought. He let the taste and the scent and the warmth of her wash over him, drowning in her, and when she finally pulled back, he almost fell into her lap.

My second swoon is from my upcoming Paranormal Romance HOMECOMING.

His hands left her arms and cupped her face like she was something fragile. Something beautiful. Someone loved and wanted. His gaze dropped to her mouth, and he trailed his thumb over her lower lip, transfixed. A smile tugged the corners of his lips as his mouth came crashing down on hers, rough like his voice and impatient and desperate. His tongue swept across her lips, seeking entrance, and she opened up to him, claiming her, caressing, fighting to dominate. Showing her how much he’d missed her, telling her she was his. He deepened the kiss, sliding his hands to her hips and pulling her flush to his body, his claws digging into her skin. The kiss, the way he held her, reminded her of the last kiss he’d bestowed on her before she left him. Passionate. Reverent. Tender. Her hands slid up to circle his neck, pulling him lower, wanting more, Everything. Her fingers skated their way up to dig into his cropped hair. Gods, she was powerless to him.

What's your swoon? Be sure to leave your link and I'll hop over to check it out. Thursday is all about swooning. :D
